With the wild apple tree planting kit from Meinwoody, you can plant your own tree in just a few steps. Open it, press the seeds into the soil, water it. Done!

After successful cultivation, you can easily plant your small tree in a new container, or directly into the ground, without repotting, using the compostable pot. The pot will then decompose naturally in approximately 12-24 months, leaving no residue in the soil. Your plant can then develop its roots undisturbed and establish itself firmly in the ground.

The tree planting kit consists of valuable forest seeds, a compostable planting pot produced on site, Terra Preta soil and a hemp fiber mat.

Interesting facts about the wild apple

The wild apple (Malus sylvestris), also known as European wild apple, crab apple or crab apple, is a deciduous tree species from the genus of apples.

- Height 3-10 meters
- Pink and white flowers from April to May
- Spherical fruits

The crab apple, with its delicate, crisp, and tart flavor, can be enjoyed as a dessert, in jelly, as apple cider vinegar, or even as an ingredient in savory dishes . However, eating it raw is quite an acquired taste, sometimes even inedible, due to its intense acidity. This robust tree is a true vitamin powerhouse and can grow up to 10 meters tall.

It serves as an important breeding ground for many bird species, as a source of nectar for bees , and as a food source for many small animals . The wood is not suitable for construction, but it is often used for woodturning.

Regular consumption of crab apples is beneficial for the stomach and intestines. In cosmetics , grated crab apple mixed with a dab of honey makes a great mask for clear and soft facial skin. Those suffering from nervousness can try apple tea (slice an apple, pour boiling water over it, and let it steep for two hours).

Please note: Plants are unique and may develop differently in appearance, color, shape, and size compared to our descriptions and images. External factors such as soil type, climate, humidity, air supply, and temperature can significantly affect plant development.
Some tree varieties are genetically predisposed to germination taking up to five months - in these cases it is particularly important to keep the soil consistently moist and to be patient.
