With the Turkish fir tree planting kit from Meinwoody, you can plant your own tree in just a few steps. Open it, press the seeds into the soil, water it. Done!
After successful cultivation, you can easily plant your small tree in a new container, or directly into the ground, without repotting, using the compostable pot. The pot will then decompose naturally in approximately 12-24 months, leaving no residue in the soil. Your plant can then develop its roots undisturbed and establish itself firmly in the ground.
The tree planting kit consists of valuable forest seeds, a compostable planting pot produced on site, Terra Preta soil and a hemp fiber mat.

Interesting facts about the Turkish fir
- closely related to the Nordmann fir
- very resistant to frost and heat
- naturally occurring in the Pontic Mountains in Turkey
The Turkish fir is a survivor . It withstands intense heat waves as well as severe frosts without complaint. These qualities clearly distinguish it from other trees and are therefore the subject of extensive scientific research.
As the name suggests, it inhabits regions in Turkey, more precisely the Pontic Mountains in the northwest. There, it thrives at high altitudes, mostly as a single species, and mixes with other fir species and trees at lower elevations.
The Turkish fir is closely related to the Nordmann fir.
Please note: Plants are unique and may develop differently in appearance, color, shape, and size compared to our descriptions and images. External factors such as soil type, climate, humidity, air supply, and temperature can significantly affect plant development.
Some tree varieties are genetically predisposed to germination taking up to five months - in these cases it is particularly important to keep the soil consistently moist and to be patient.
