Traditionally, apartments, houses, and stables are fumigated when someone moves in or out. This also occurs during the well-known Rauhnächte (Twelve Days of Christmas) at the end of the year.
Application :
Use a non-flammable surface. Light one end of the bundle with a lighter or match. Gently blow out the flame and place it on the surface. Distribute the sage smoke throughout the desired area using a feather, fan, or your hands. To extinguish, place the bundle in a bowl of sand.
