After successful cultivation, you can easily plant your small tree in a new container, or directly into the ground, without repotting, using the compostable pot. The pot will then decompose naturally in approximately 12-24 months, leaving no residue in the soil. Your plant can then develop its roots undisturbed and establish itself firmly in the ground.

The larch is one of the few conifers that shed their needles in winter. In spring, the young , light green needles are edible ; they have a tart, slightly sour taste, somewhat reminiscent of lemon. In autumn, the needles turn yellow before falling.

Larch trees thrive in open areas , such as those cleared by avalanches or landslides, and can live up to 800 years. They are very resilient and tolerate extreme temperature fluctuations . Larch wood is particularly prized for bow making due to its flexibility.

In ancient times, the larch was considered a sacred tree whose protective powers warded off evil. Larch balsam has antiseptic properties and is therefore used medicinally to treat abscesses and boils.
