Our versatile rock flour, sourced regionally from Upper Franconia, impresses with its high silica content, thus strengthening clay-humus complexes. It therefore improves the soil's water retention capacity and ensures the desired crumbly structure of garden soil.

This natural soil activator remineralizes the soil, making your plants more resistant to diseases and pests. Soil life is biologically supported and promoted.

The mineral soil amendment "Diabase rock flour" supplies your beds and plants with essential trace elements. Diabase flour should not be used as a traditional fertilizer, but rather sparingly as a soil supplement.

The odor-binding properties of rock dust make it ideal for use in the household, for example in organic waste bins, compost containers, and Bokashi systems. The rock dust also supports the fermentation process and improves subsequent nutrient absorption.

Diabase flour is also ideally suited as a dust bath for poultry to prevent and combat pest infestations (mites, etc.). We recommend a mixture of sand, wood ash, and rock flour for this purpose.

The amount of rock dust you apply, pure or diluted, to your garden varies depending on the soil type. For calcareous soils, up to 150 grams per square meter is common, while for acidic soils, 200 to 300 grams of rock dust per square meter are recommended.
