With the alder tree planting kit from Meinwoody, you can plant your own tree in just a few steps. Open it, press the seeds into the soil, water it. Done!

After successful cultivation, you can easily plant your small tree in a new container, or directly into the ground, without repotting, using the compostable pot. The pot will then decompose naturally in approximately 12-24 months, leaving no residue in the soil. Your plant can then develop its roots undisturbed and establish itself firmly in the ground.

The tree planting kit consists of valuable forest seeds, a compostable planting pot produced on site, Terra Preta soil and a hemp fiber mat.

Interesting facts about the alder tree

- moisture-loving
- grows in nutrient-poor soils
- shallow-rooted

No other tree is as frequently seen along rivers and lakes as the alder. This deciduous tree thrives in damp conditions and was therefore the preferred wood for the pile dwellings of the Stone Age.

Even the famous Italian port city of Venice rests largely on alder wood.

On average, it lives for about 100 to 120 years and reaches a height of 30 to 40 meters. The alder has also always been shrouded in legend – according to old folk tales, all sorts of spirits lurked in alder-covered bogs, dragging anyone who approached them into the abyss.

Please note: Plants are unique and may develop differently in appearance, color, shape, and size compared to our descriptions and images. External factors such as soil type, climate, humidity, air supply, and temperature can significantly affect plant development.
Some tree varieties are genetically predisposed to germination taking up to five months - in these cases it is particularly important to keep the soil consistently moist and to be patient.
